2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Configurations

There will still be four trim levels with the 2020 Eclipse Cross: ES, LE, SE, and SEL. The base ES trim features a rearview camera, cloth seats, remote keyless entry, a seven-inch touch screen, HD radio, Bluetooth and five-speaker stereo. It's also possible to add all-wheel drive to this model. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross LE comes standard with all-wheel drive as well as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a touchpad controller, and satellite radio.

The 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SE will have heated front seats, a six-speaker stereo system, push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, and lane change assist. A Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL features a Multiview camera, leather upholstery, head-up display, and power-adjustable driver's seat. Additional options include a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, and a premium Rockford Fosgate sound system.

2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Price

It appears that the 2020 Eclipse cross will be slightly less than last year. That puts the ES, with front-wheel drive at just $22,845. The top of the line Eclipse Cross, complete with all-wheel drive only starts at $30,965.

The 2020 Eclipse Cross measures 173″ L x 71″ W x 66-67″ H. One of the biggest upgrades for the new model year is the addition of 16-inch wheels on the base model. There are 7 available color options: Bronze Metallic, Red Diamond, Octane Blue Metallic, Pearl White, Mercury Gray Metallic, Tarmac Black Metallic, and Alloy Silver Metallic.

2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Performance & Reliability

The 2020 Eclipse Cross isn't expected to change any engine options, meaning it will contain the same equipment as the 2019 model with similar specs. This puts a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder under the hood that pumps out 152 horsepower. It pairs with a CVT. Front-wheel-drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive is available. In addition, the Eclipse Cross hits 60 mph in just 9.6 seconds, which is impressive for an SUV of this size. This new Mitsubishi SUV can tow up to 1,500 pounds, which is enough to take a small boat to the lake for some family fun.

2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross MPG

The 2020 Eclipse Cross should see the same mileage as the 2019 model. That would mean that the Eclipse Cross mpg on the base model with front-wheel-drive would equal 26/29 mpg. Adding all-wheel drive to the base model changes that to 25/28 mpg. The other models come standard with all-wheel drive and show fuel economy figures of 25/26 mpg.

2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Interior

The 2020 Eclipse Cross has room to seat 5 people comfortably. The back row reclines and slides, to create even more space. There are 22.6 cubic feet of storage room in the rear, but you can have 48.9 cubic feet of room simply by putting down the rear seats. Tne new Eclipse Cross has a sleek heads-up display on the dashboard and a multi-point touch pad by the gear shaft to keep your eyes up and away from any display behind the steering wheel or tech feature that may distract you from the road ahead.

New Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross vs. Old Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe

Both the Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe and Spyder were discontinued from the lineup in 2011. Now the nameplate lives on with the 2020 Eclipse Cross. It features some of the same dynamic styling aspects and provides a comparably exhilarating performance. The most significant difference is that this new Mitsubishi SUV comfortably fits five people, which you could never do in the coupe car variant. While some people miss the original Mitsubishi cars such as the old iconic Eclipse or Lancer Evo, there's nothing that compares to the 2020 Eclipse Cross. One test drive proves that to all enthusiasts.

2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Reviews

The automaker knew it would have to step up its game to compete with last year's model. After all the 2019 Eclipse Cross was a contender as Motor Trend's SUV of the Year. Reading through some initial reviews proves that the 2020 Eclipse Cross has become an even stronger SUV model. Kelly Blue Book points out the host of safety features and smooth turbocharged engine. Edmunds also boasts about the long list of standard features plus the "peppy" performance.
